Happy Sunday! I hope you are having a great day today! What does a "normal" Sunday at the CCM look like? Do you guys have General Authorities visit you often? How is the language coming along? I saw your name tag said Hablo Español. It took me a moment to realize that though. For most of the Facebook post I thought it said "No español" and I wanted to give you a hug. I still do, but now it is just because I miss you.
Church was good today. Although it was hard to get up because of the time change. I'm still tired. Anyways, Sister McDermaid, Mason and I spoke. It was a really good Sacrament service. Mason's talk was about preparing for a mission. Mindy's talk was on how to have Faith through the daily trials of life. She did such a great job. She is an Amazing person — so autentic and honest. Her father was their to hear her speak, which was cool in itself, but even more so because he is in Kidney failure and was given just a few weeks to live. Her talk was very special and the spirit was strong.
I often find myself wondering — does Mom and Dad visit me often? Ever? Or are they so busy on the other side, that all their time is occupied in missionary work, or as being guardian angels to their sweet granddaughter while she is on her mission in Mexico and Chile. (That is YOU.)
My topic was "Having Faith in God When life doesn't go as planned." I'll include it so you could read it as well. I really liked giving it. So weird I was still stressed and all that, but was legit excited on the topic and everything around studying for it and putting it together. I think overall it went ok. It was written to be a 12–14 min talk, but I only had about 5 mins. Needless to say, we went over time and I had to cut 70% of the talk. I hope it helped somebody besides just me but if not, that's ok. I needed it.
The kids are playing BBall outside, I'm just sitting down in my chair by my nightstand. The ball just bounced off the window and made me jump. With so much happening in the world, I'm so grateful that we live in a free country and are members of God's church. The church is true!! Oop, Alexa and Mason just came in arguing. Can I go to the CCM with you? PLEASE?! :)
I sure love you. I am so proud of you. Dad
