Kaitlynn's third field area; deep in the Chilean Andes in Patagonia. She served here from approximately December 2025 through early March 2026 as a trainer with Hermana Juncker. Hermanas had not served in Coyhaique for approximately 8 years before her arrival. She calls it "the land of miracles." One confirmed baptism: William (early 2026, before her transfer to Valdivia).

Mexico CCM

Centro de Capacitación Misional (Spanish for Missionary Training Center) in Mexico City. Kaitlynn trained here from Feb 20 to Mar 25, 2025 (about 5 weeks) before flying to Chile to begin field service.

Details

The Mexico CCM is the Spanish-language training facility for missionaries serving in Latin America. Located near the Benito Juárez International Airport in Mexico City. Kaitlynn trained here as part of her preparation for the Chile Puerto Montt Mission.

The headquarters city of the Chile Puerto Montt Mission. Kaitlynn's second and fifth (current) field-area assignment. First tour: approximately late July 2025 through late November 2025 with Hermana Pehrson then Hermana Soares; one confirmed baptism (Yilver). Second tour: began May 18, 2026 as part of her Hermana Líder Viajera (HLV) call with Hermana Figueredo (see 2026-05-18_hermana-lider-viajera-begins); housing in the building directly next to the mission home (~5 minutes away); new ward sector ~10 minutes from her old Puerto Montt ward. Mission office is here; zone conferences are often held here. Volcán Osorno (near Puerto Varas) is a common P-day destination.

Punta Arenas

Kaitlynn's first field area in the Chile Puerto Montt Mission. The southernmost city in mainland Chile, near the Strait of Magellan. She served there from March 25, 2025 through approximately late July 2025 - four months total. The sector was officially closed by the mission when she transferred out. Two confirmed baptisms here: Rodrigo and Yasdiel (May 19, 2025).

Valdivia

Kaitlynn's fourth field area. Located in the Los Ríos Region of southern Chile. Her zone is "Bautizalle y Confirmalle" (a missionary phrase meaning "baptize them and confirm them"), also known as the Calle-Calle zone. Served from early March 2026 to May 16, 2026 (~2.5 months) with Hermana Artieda then Hermana Stewart. Miracles include Rood (from Haiti) being baptized, Mauricio quitting a 30-cigarette-a-day habit and being baptized, and the Valdivia ward as a recent-convert powerhouse (12 converts in the prior year, all but 2 still active). Kaitlynn left for her HLV call in Puerto Montt May 16, 2026; Hermana Stewart remained in Valdivia. See 2026-05-18_hermana-lider-viajera-begins.
