Kaitlynn Weekly Email - Think Celestial
Snapshot
Multi-week catchup (several weeks since last email). Investigator Jessica came to a ward activity and to church and loved it. Juan Pablo (Jehovah's Witness since 2017) is struggling to leave. The ward mission leader had been inactive but no longer is. Kaitlynn's method for choosing joy: always have a hymn to sing.
Week Highlights (condensed, covers several weeks)
- Jessica: came to a ward activity and stayed to the end; came to church and loved it.
- Juan Pablo: has been taking JW Bible classes since 2017; hard time leaving. Working with him.
- Found a drunk man in the street - they gave him a pamphlet, talked about his bike; he made fun of her Spanish, so they left.
- Bishop loves the hermanas but not the elders.
- Ward mission leader had been inactive but no longer is.
- Learning to choose happiness; her go-to method: always have a hymn to sing.
Spiritual Thought
"Now is part of eternity." God promises an eternity of joy; our job is to choose it now. Revelations 21:3-4 - God will wipe away all tears; no more death, sorrow, crying, or pain. 2 Nephi 2:25 - men are that they might have joy. She describes filling her "backpack with rocks" by focusing on what's wrong, and slowly learning to leave the rocks and fill it with the flowers alongside the rocky trail. Many conference talks recommended.
Notes
- Her zone leader also wrote a summary of the week in funny third-person style.
