Nine months in the mission (from Feb 10, 2025). Zone P-day with tacos. Interviews with Presidente Mackay - he asked where she wants to go next transfer. Hermana Leticia shared her testimony - a woman whose faith nothing can shake, not even a Muslim husband (Kaitlynn compares her to Kristi). An 8-year-old boy's parents left the missionaries alone with him to talk about the Spirit; ended with the family agreeing to come to church.

Week Highlights

Monday (Zone P-day): Whole zone; Elder Rosas made tortillas; ate tacos and played games.

Wednesday (Entrevistas): Interviews with Presidente Mackay - "a mini wisdom session." He asked directly where she wants to go next transfer. Ate KFC and handrolls because no one answered lunch texts.

Thursday: Lunch with Hermana Leticia. "Her testimony is incredible; there is nothing - absolutely nothing - that will get between her and her Jesus, not even her husband who is Muslim. Cristo has first place and always will." Kaitlynn adds: "shout out to my mom for her doing the exact same thing."

Friday: Visited an elderly ward woman; her inactive friend showed up unexpectedly. Visited Tomasito; he gave them cake.

Saturday: Taught the English class solo with the Holy Ghost's help (the elders bailed). Sports night afterward - warm weather, outdoor volleyball. Missed summer.

Sunday: Led the music - "really bad at it and it's really funny." Lunch with Familia Fuenzalida Godoy (husband has one lung; they talked about her bad grades in school). Thunderstorm - "it was beautiful." Knocked and found a family: father told them his 8-year-old son wanted to talk about Jesus; parents left the room giving thumbs up; Kaitlynn and Hermana Soares talked to the boy about baptism; parents agreed to come to church Sunday.

Nine months in the mission. ("WOOT")

Spiritual Thought

Elder Robert D. Hales: "When we want to speak to God, we pray. And when we want Him to speak to us, we search the scriptures." On daily scripture study - before the mission it was hard; now her soul "feels full of light" after studying. Recommends "The Power of Scripture" (GC Oct 2011).
