Week 22. Six months in the mission - the one-third mark. Zone conference; saw Hermana Garcia. After reading a talk on consecrated missionaries, found 4 people in about an hour. Intercambios with Hermana Hoole - very productive day. Gave a baptismal fecha as her 6-month wish. Celebrated with KFC and a Coca-Colita.
Week Highlights
- Tracking down investigator Yessenia; limited solid lessons.
- Zone conference: "so good and so insane." Saw Hermana Garcia ("mi latina"). Zone studied the importance of the gift of the Holy Ghost.
- Zone call: read a talk about becoming a "consecrated missionary." Kaitlynn and Hermana Pehrson went out and found 4 people in about an hour. "God is good and there is miracles in obedience."
- Intercambios with Hermana Hoole: "I've never met anyone as dedicated to the work as this hermana." In one day: gave a baptismal fecha, saw drunk men fighting, bought corn, found a new investigator, took photos, ate a good once.
- Went running the next morning - "I. Have. Missed. Running." Shout-out to Hermana Snowder.
- Six-month cumplimes [mission birthday]: her wish was to give someone a baptismal fecha - accomplished same day. Celebrated with KFC and Coca-Colita.
Spiritual Thought
Elder Uchtdorf: "In this life it is our great opportunity to struggle, to fight, and, yes, to fail occasionally in our pursuit of the divine." On not comparing yourself to others and looking up instead of sideways. Moses 1:1-11 - of all God's creations, you are the most important to Him. Three talks on comparison and identity recommended.
