Easter week (Pascua). Intercambios with Hermana Heindel; secured Rodrigo's baptismal date (Carmen's nephew, same date as Carmen). Baptism-by-bread incident. Played fútbol for the first time since 2nd grade. District leader gave key advice: "Forget the language and go to work - open your mouth, let God fill it."

Week Highlights

Wednesday (Intercambios): Paired with Hermana Heindel ("a máquina" [machine - extremely productive]). GOT RODRIGO A FECHA - he agreed to baptism on the same date as his aunt Carmen.

Thursday: Made deviled eggs.

Friday (Milagros): All-hermana zone meeting over Zoom. Service project. Lesson with Carmen; Spirit provided scriptures that directly answered her hard questions. Played fútbol for first time since 2nd grade - "SO FUN." Almost headed the ball but chickened out.

Saturday: Found new favorite dessert: layers of pastry with caramel (likely milhojas). Three-hour lesson with member and non-member husband. District leader's advice: "Do you believe in God's power? Do you believe in the gift of tongues and pray for it?" - after she answered yes, "forget the language and go to work." References Moroni 10:7.

Sunday (Easter/Pascua): Easter bunny left gifts for Kaitlynn and Hermana Snowder. Sang "Andare con Cristo" in church. Baptism-via-bread: Hermana Snowder accidentally touched an investigator sitting next to them with the sacrament bread - "baptized" him. Both tried not to laugh. Ines and Jorge were served a mini church program at their home; Kaitlynn bore her testimony of Jesus - felt it shift from memorized phrases to something genuinely personal.

Spiritual Thought

Vaughn J Featherstone poem: "The average runner runs until the breath in him is gone / But the champion has the iron will that makes him carry on / The average man's complacent when he's done his best to score / But the champion does his best and then does a little more." Trust God; with Him, do a little more.
