Kaitlynn Weekly Email - Volumptious
Snapshot
CCM week 4. Recovered from sickness. First Sunday as STL. Visited the temple. Highlights include teaching an impromptu lesson on prayer, helping a non-Spanish-speaking woman lost in Mexico City, and doing sealings at the temple for the first time.
Week Highlights
Wednesday: Feeling better (scratchy throat). Decorated new hermanas' doors (first STL task).
Thursday: Spanish improving. Impromptu lesson on prayer with Hermana Coltharp.
Friday: Gave her bag of s'mores to her teacher instead of eating it herself (teacher is a "poor college student").
Saturday: Helped a Spanish-only receptionist communicate with an English-speaking woman lost in Mexico City who appeared to be in a legal proceeding. Taught a lesson in Spanish.
Sunday: First Sunday as STL. CCM president in their sacrament meeting. Sang EFY Medley in the CCM choir.
Monday: Got reprimanded for not working hard enough on Spanish. Responded by spending an hour conjugating all verbs in present tense only. Got "destroyed" in volleyball. Stargazed with PMG teacher.
Tuesday: Temple trip ("TEMPLOOOO"). Found out the comedor has peanut butter - "lowkey gold in South America."
Spiritual Thought
D&C 84:85 - Treasure up the words of life; in the moment of need, the right words will be given. "God gives us the ingredients to cook and He'll make you a full-course meal." Recommends "Lord, I Believe" (Elder Holland, GC Apr 2013) and "To Young Women" (GC Oct 2005).
