HermanowinPuerto,
We got up very early this morning to take family pictures. We decided to try a different spot. We just took them in the backyard. Everyone wanted to know why we hadn't always done this. Then when we were done, everyone went back to bed for the next hour and a half before we had to get ready for church. There was only 25% of our normal fighting and complaining that happens when we take pictures.
Dad took Bryson and Mason camping at Logan Canyon on Friday night. You'll have to ask him about the tender mercy of finding a place to camp. They had a great time. Mason now has spent the last two days in the sleeping bag at home. He slept in it in his bed. He's been in out to watch his Sunday church movie. But don't worry he's not letting any cat hair get on it.
Aunt Kathi and her kids came. We were able to help Treyson go shopping for some missionary clothes. Alexa and Danika walked all over Mountain View Village living in the dream teenage life.
Dad and I went on a Sunday hike. He wanted to go his normal 7 miles. I told him I would do 1 mile and then we compromise at a mile and a half and called it good.
The girls loved girls camp. It was weird for them to be there without you. I was glad that they still had each other. It will be really hard when Alexa has to go all by herself.
I love you! I'm proud of you!
Love,
Mom
Story of singing time in Primary from Bishop Ballard: The kids were trying to direct one of the kids to find a ball that was hidden. They would sing louder when the kid got closer or quieter when he moved further away. But at one moment, they didn't know what to do because the kid stopped moving. Unless he started moving, they didn't know if they should sing louder or quieter. The same is true for us. When we are standing still it is really hard for the Lord to direct us. Get moving, start doing something, try. If we are making the wrong choice, the Spirit can correct us and if we're doing the right thing, we can be given encouragement to keep going.
