Dear Hermano20o,

How was zone conference? What was the theme? What did you learn?

Bryson got his promotion at work. Woot! He is super excited to learn new things.

Alexa tried out for the play at school. It is Matilda. She will find out on Tuesday or Wednesday if she made it.

Nata had a great time (kinda) at the dance. She thought she liked Charlie after the Friday date. After the dance she said it was like talking to lettuce. Sooooo….I guess she is over it. Benjo spent 20 minutes with her/her group at the dance - as he told her he would. You explain that one to me.

Mason has been taking mama piano lessons every morning from 8-8:30. He learned the Entertainer and is working on Praise to the Man.

I love you. I'm so proud of you. Heavenly Father and Jesus love you!

Love, Mom

(Appended: Hugh B. Brown's "Currant Bush" parable - the gardener cuts the currant bush down to its proper size. The bush protests, but the gardener says, "I am the gardener here, and I know what I want you to be... someday, little currant bush, when you are laden with fruit, you are going to say, 'Thank you, Mr. Gardener, for loving me enough to cut me down.'" Brown applies it to his own bitter disappointment at being denied a military promotion, hearing the Lord say, "I am the gardener here. I know what I want you to do." His counsel: "if you don't get what you think you ought to get, remember, God is the gardener here. He knows what He wants you to be. Submit yourselves to His will... and you will get His blessings.")
