Dear Hermanocutiecake,
Stake Conference was sooooo good. Elder Kyle S. McKay was your general authority seventy. He was amazing.
Ivy invited Alexa to go to the temple with her and her friends on Friday. She had a great time. I'm glad that Ivy has finalllllllly forgiven Alexa. Now they can move forward and just be friends.
I took Mason and Hayden to big Walmart. They said they wanted to ride the bikes. I didn't think much of it…..until Mason rode past me in the dairy section. 🤦♀️ I told them I was never taking them to Walmart again.
I made Nata follow Seth. I couldn't control myself. It is for your own good.
I love you. I'm so proud of you. Heavenly Father and Jesus love you.
Love,
Mom
(Notes from Elder Kyle S. McKay, stake conference - condensed from Kristi's notes) You are completely safe in the house of the Lord; Satan has no access to it. Jesus teaches daily in the temple - go and lay hold on Him. Patience and faith are tried together. Waiting upon the Lord is how the Lord describes His own people; we are all waiting on the Lord for something. In Gethsemane Jesus said "Thy will be done"; that is also what He says to us - "My will is to bless you." Our challenge is to align our will with His; we are the choosers. Why we "go out": offense, complacency, weariness - don't let offense get between you and Christ; press forward in good works. Stop sinning, eliminate temptation, run from it; fill your life with so much goodness that when the monsters come there is no room. Choose faith; whatever we feed will grow. "Even though I didn't get the feeling I thought I should get, I knew it was the right thing and I chose to believe." Keys carry a burden but create a qualification - less capable, more confident, because it is Christ's work. As you search for Him you will find Him in the temple. "If you do not think I can save him then you know nothing of me." He is the great deliverer. Fasting is hungering and thirsting after righteousness. Daily repentance is less about shedding sin and more about increasing righteousness.
